Be a Bunny is United Way of Aiken County's spring outreach project.
Last year Be a Bunny collected over 500 Easter Baskets that were distributed to seniors in our community. The primary basket recipients were clients of Aiken Senior Life Services’(ASLS) home delivered meal program. One ASLS volunteer said, "One of my meal delivery clients told me today how delighted he was to receive his basket. He recited each item in the basket, so that told me he valued every one and wanted to relay his appreciation." That is what this program is all about!
We want the seniors in our community to be encouraged, to know that we care and that they are not forgotten.
Help make that impact again this year!!
Completed baskets can be dropped off at the new Aiken Senior Life Services building located at 1310 E Pine Log Rd. between March 1st and March 22nd. Any loose "stuffing items" or empty baskets can be dropped off at the United Way of Aiken County office by March 15th.
