United Way of Aiken Announces Changes to Professional Staff

United Way of Aiken County is very pleased to announce that Candis Moyer has been named Director of Resource Development. Candis has been a member of the professional staff of United Way for nearly five years, most recently serving as Director of Marketing. We are so fortunate that she has agreed to serve in this new role.

United Way of Aiken County is also pleased to welcome its new Director of Marketing, Lindsey Rosenlieb. She is eager to put her knowledge and skills to work and help to make Aiken a better place to work and live.

MOMS CLUB of Aiken Rummage Sale

The MOMS CLUB of Aiken is hosting a Rummage Sale this Saturday, April 21st from 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM at First Presbyterian Church on Barnwell Avenue. The sale will include household items, appliances, kids and adult clothing, outdoor equipment, toys, furniture and much more! All proceeds will go towards the Dolly Parton Imagination Library. The DPIL is a United Way initiative that provides 400 children in Aiken with an age appropriate book every month from birth to age 5. Please come out and support this event!

Grand Opening of Family Y Pool and Water Park

The Family Y located at 621 Trolley Line Road in Graniteville, SC will have the grand opening of their pool and water park, May 5th from 10 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. There will be food, entertainment and fun for the entire family! This event is open to the public so bring your family and join in the fun!

Savannah River Nuclear Solutions Remains Top Contributor to United Way of Aiken County

Thank you Savannah River Nuclear Solutions for your continued support of United Way of Aiken County! In 2011, SRNS was our top employee contributor as well as our top corporate contributor! In addition, employees of SRNS remain involved with United Way throughout the year by serving on our Board, various committees, and special initiatives. Each year, SRNS produces our campaign video. Last year, John Brecht of SRNS produced a heartfelt video encouraging our community to “Light the Spark of Dreams” for those less fortunate in Aiken County. We are truly grateful for the overwhelming support this company provides for United Way of Aiken County and our partner agencies.

United Way receives nearly $850,000 from Savannah River Site

Savannah River Site employees raised nearly $850,000 for United Way of Aiken County’s 2011 campaign! The SRS campaign, led by Linda Bridgmon of Savannah River Nuclear Solutions, was once again a huge success! Many thanks to all of the employees who helped to make this campaign so successful.
